why are u sooooo impressed with the west??ok its better then our pakistan but u are impressed beyond believe-u wear a hijab and talk abt seduction in public-tsk tsk tsk-instead of writing abt how can we all make pak a better u just jotted down all the "not so correct" statements and blogged about! its like making fun of your own kid.dou understand that???? pointing fingers is so convieninet-isnt it?

hi anon,
firstly, i dont think u get my point - which is fine becoz i don't blog for the pleasure of other's but because i enjoy writing. You have a right to disagree, i have a right to carry on writing. =)
secondly, why is there such a double standard between a hijabi and seduction? It's only a paki who would find the idea of seducing (might i add that the subject here is your very own husband) very shameful. I'm very sorry if it makes u feel uncomfy but i dont think ive done something shameful here. Seducing your husband is infact encouraged in islam, as opposed to the paki perspective of keeping the wife as a docile mindless dimwit for the pleasure of serving his parents. Moreover, it's rather sad when one's mind is rather filthy to conjure up ideas by the mere mention of words that don't rrelate to the action of any given person. ;)
Thiirdly, if i were to write how to make pak better, i think it would start by mentioning how it begins with letting go of warped up mentalities that "people" (quotes emphasized) carry. *smiles*
if the statements are not so correct, i encourage you to use your own blog as a medium to educate people on what is correct. you know how they say, talk the talk, walk the walk! talking is cheap, go ahead and educate ppl on the solutions.
as far as the connection between making fun of my kid and pakistan goes, im sorry i dont follow. if my grandparents didnt live in pak, id probably rip apart and burn up the green passport. I'd never do that to my son.
I tink my main issue is that, pak being a muslim nationis rather a disgrace to islam. hope that helps!
Ciao!

i totally agree with you shez, i know someone who believes that if you wear tight jeans under your abaya for the pleasure of your husband then your hijab is invalidated!!! like that makes sense, no one but the man that can see all can see it, so how is it wrong?! Just because a guy is a muslim doesnt mean he doesnt like hot women, and the only woman he is allowed to look at is his wife, so if she doesnt dress up for him, it's not fair! Allah made men like that and its halal for their wife to look good for them, like you said its encouraged. Women like to look good and men like women looking good, and so Allah has given us a halal outlet and I think we should take advantage of it ;)

rather, mr anon, you're the one beating about the bush! if u have a problem with what i write, you're more than welcome to not read. =) i dont see an obligation here. i promise i wont kill u for not reading abt my dillemmas regarding no victorias secret in pak!! :)
im not sure how my having issues with pakistan means i love the west, but if i happen to livein a nation that helps and lets me be a better person and muslim, then so be it! =)

you sound like one stubborn and arrogant woman -i can choose not to read your blog it wont really be a problemm-but u should learn to respect pakistan.

unlike paki women, i dont see a reason to bend over backwards to please men. if u call it arrogance and stubborness, so be it. i dont see a reason to respect a nation that doesnt even let others express their feelings much less respect its own values.
aacknowledging the probs of pak is the first step to coming up with soluions. im sorry i wont stop mentioning the probs.

talking abt how pakistanis have designer clothes/drivers/girlfriends is not what i call close to being matured, everyone would agree with me.
ya do talk abt issues i mentioned above that will be a matured and intellectual discussion.
